Nitrogen-Free Medium for Pseudomonas stutzeri

Composition per liter:

Disodium  DL -malate .....................................................................6.6g
K 2 HPO 4 .........................................................................................0.5g
MgSO 4 ·7H 2 O................................................................................0.2g
Yeast extract..................................................................................0.2g
NaCl..............................................................................................0.1g
FeCl 3 ·6H 2 O..............................................................................15.0mg
pH 7.0 ± 0.2 at 25°C
Preparation of Medium: Add components to distilled/deionized
water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Distribute into tubes
or flasks. Autoclave for 15 min at 15 psi pressure–121°C.
Use: For the cultivation of Pseudomonas stutzeri.
