Composition per liter:

Sodium succinate..........................................................................2.5g
(NH 4 ) 2 SO 4 ...................................................................................1.25g
K 2 HPO 4 .........................................................................................0.9g
KH 2 PO 4 .........................................................................................0.6g
Yeast extract..................................................................................0.5g
MgSO 4 ·7H 2 O................................................................................0.2g
CaCl 2 ...........................................................................................0.07g
Ferric citrate...............................................................................3.0mg
Ethylenediamine tetraacetate (EDTA).......................................2.0mg
pH 7.0 ± 0.2 at 25°C
Preparation of Medium: Add components to distilled/deionized
water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Distribute into tubes
or flasks. Autoclave for 15 min at 15 psi pressure–121°C.
Use:  For the cultivation and maintenance of Rhodopseudomonas spe-
cies.
