Methylene Blue...........................................................................10.0g
pH 6.4 ± 0.2 at 25°C
Preparation of Medium: Add components to distilled/deionized
water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Distribute into tubes
or flasks. Autoclave for 20 min at 10 psi pressure–115°C.
Use: For the cultivation and differentiation of group D streptococci
(enterococci) from other Streptococcus species.
