Composition per liter:
FeSO 4 ·7H 2 O................................................................................10.0g
Glucose.......................................................................................10.0g
MnSO 4 ·H 2 O................................................................................10.0g
Peptone .......................................................................................10.0g
Sodium acetate............................................................................10.0g
Yeast extract................................................................................10.0g
MgSO 4 ·7H 2 O................................................................................0.2g
NaCl.........................................................................................10.0mg
pH 6.8 ± 0.2 at 25°C
Preparation of Medium: Add components to distilled/deionized water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Adjust pH to 6.8. Distribute into tubes or flasks. Autoclave for 15 min at 15 psi pressure–121°C.
Use: For the cultivation of Lactobacillus pentosus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Pediococcus acidilactici, and Pediococcus pentosaceus.
