Composition per 1050.0mL:

Whole milk, fresh .............................................. 1.0L

FeSO4·7H2O........................................................1.0g

Preparation of Medium: Add FeSO4·7H2O to

distilled/deionized water and bring volume to

50.0mL. Add slowly to 1.0L of whole milk. Mix

thoroughly. Distribute into tubes in 11.0mL volumes.

Autoclave for 12 min at 13 psi pressure–118°C.

Use: For the cultivation and enumeration of Clost

ridium perfringens in foods.
