Composition per liter:

L- Asparagine.................................................................................4.0g
Citric acid......................................................................................2.0g
K 2 HPO 4 .........................................................................................0.5g
MgSO 4 ..........................................................................................0.5g
Triton ® WR 1339........................................................................0.25g
Ferric ammonium citrate.............................................................0.05g
Glycerol ...................................................................................40.0mL
Preparation of Medium: Add components to distilled/deionized
water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Distribute into tubes
or flasks. Autoclave for 15 min at 15 psi pressure–121°C.
Use: For the cultivation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain Bacille
Calmette-Guèrin (BCG) for vaccine production.
